Buffet’s Payoff from Crisis-Era Investments Reaches $10 Billion

During the most recent Financial Crisis, billionaire investor Warren Buffet tossed lifelines to a handful of blue-chip companies. According to The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Buffet’s payoff from those deals five years later is about $10 billion and counting. The latest windfall for the “Oracle of Omaha” is a vivid illustration of one of Mr. Buffett’s favorite investing maxims: “Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful.
